BetEasy is one of Australia’s leading bookmakers and we offer an independent review of the brand an the 100RACING Referral Code.
BetEasy is the latest name for the bookmaker previously known as CrownBet. CrownBet was born out of the original BetEasy brand, which itself was previously known as BetEzy, following the striking of a deal between owner Matt Tripp and Crown Resorts’ James Packer.
Tripp, the former head of Sportsbet, bought out bookmaker BetEzy and rebranded it BetEasy. And in 2015, he combined forces with Packer’s Crown International to form CrownBet with a direct link between the two brands.
Crown International took a 67% controlling interest in BetEasy as part of the takeover and the remaining 33% was retained by Tripp.
Crown Resorts sold their stake in the bookmaker to The Stars Group in February 2018 and the relaunch of the BetEasy brand came about as a result of a merger between CrownBet and William Hill.
The BetEasy website is exactly what customers need – effective, functional and easy to use. There are no gimmicks, it is a well designed site with simple navigation to find the markets required. The menu at the top of the homepage separates Racing and Sport while also giving quick access to Support and the latest Promotions.
The key upcoming racing and sporting events are listed on the left hand side to give punters a quick link to the most popular markets, while the extended A-Z menu for racing and sports sits directly below.
The bet slip features on the right hand side of the site and is large enough to be able to see all of your bets clearly. Bets are fairly quick to place too – exactly what you want from a betting website where time can often be critical.
BetEasy App and Mobile Site
The new and improved BetEasy app is available to download free of charge and is available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Alternatively, if you prefer to use the internet browser rather than an app, BetEasy’s dedicated mobile site works perfectly well too.
The app is well designed with the next five racing events and five upcoming sporting events displayed on the home screen and buttons for further function at the bottom of the screen. Bet placement couldn’t be any simpler or quicker and finding markets is a relatively stress-free process.
Having already been lauded for the speed and usability of the app, BetEasy have improved on it further with some recent additions.
You can now watch live racing and sports (including AFL, NBA, Soccer, Tennis and Cricket) via the app, use the new QuickBet facility to do exactly what it suggests and get your wager on in seconds, keep tabs on your multibets more easily thanks to the multibet view option, get real time notifications about your bets and offers, talk to BetEasy representatives via the live chat facility and even head to a specific market by holding down the app button.
Odds and Markets
BetEasy offers markets on all key Australian sports events including thoroughbred racing, harness racing and greyhound racing as well as NRL, AFL, Super Rugby, soccer and cricket.
They have pre-event odds and live odds available on all domestic sports and future markets and key forthcoming events and also offer overseas betting opportunities.
In-play betting is offered on most markets, although as with all bookmakers this requires a phone call to place your bet once an event has started.
Outside of the domestic sports, BetEasy offer a wide race of international racing markets as well as excellent betting odds and in-depth markets across the key American sports. You will find the odds in line with most of their rivals although they won’t tend to stand out with the biggest price.
Having lagged behind some of their rivals when it comes to live streaming, BetEasy have greatly improved the options for customers with what the bookmaker terms Live Vision.
BetEasy, for starters, were the only bookmaker to offer live vision of AFL football thanks to their deal as the official betting partner to the sport, and they join a select band of betting agencies to broadcast live covered of horse racing from all Victoria tracks, which means you can watch the Melbourne Cup, Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate – among many other races – streamed live.
BetEasy are now streaming the action from every Australian thoroughbred, greyhound and harness race live after linking up with Sky Racing to broadcast both channels live online.
As well as watching every race in all three racing codes, you can also check the form and bet on them too at BetEasy via Desktop or the impressive App.
BetEasy Live Vision has also included streaming of NBA games, soccer from some of the biggest leagues in the world, ATP and WTA Tour tennis, cricket and racing around the clock following an expansion of the service.
