  • Too Good To Refuse puts in a blistering trial
  • Sundance runs the fastest time of the day
Doomben barrier trials

Here are my horses to follow from the Doomben barrier trials:

Trial 1. 1000m (Open) 58.87
Coming from last on the turn, Too Good To Refuse was too good to be true. Giving his rivals a big start, he reeled them in and went on to win comfortably by 1.5 lengths under a hold (UAH).

Trial 3. 1000m (Open) 58.21*
Running the fastest time of the day, Sundance led all the way and won with something to spare. It was also worth noting the run of the second horse, Stella Ombra who stuck with the winner all the way. The two of them put 3.5 lengths on the rest.

Trial 4. 1000m (Class 2) 58.30
Hardly breaking out of a canter was Remembering Frank who had an easy run in leading all the way to win this trial. Under a good hold, he beat them home by 3.5 lengths pulling up in the end.

Trial 8. 1000m (Maiden) 59.53
Still in maiden class, Tutokanula’s trial win was well worth noting. Sitting in the box seat but three wide, the three-year-old pulled hard in the middle stages but when let go in the straight, responded nicely and is not far away from a win.
