Flit heads 11-strong field for Thousand Guineas

Favourite Flit has landed a inside gate after drawing barrier two in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield. 


The Hugh Bowman-ridden filly is one of three Godolphin runners in the 11-strong field for the Caulfield race, and remains at the head of the betting at $2.00. 

Her James Cummings-trained stablemate Tenley will start from barier seven for Kerrin McEvoy.

Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) winner Lyre, another Godolphin filly and the highest rated in the race from the Anthony Freedman stable, drew barrier three for Saturday's Group 1. 



The Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained Acting, who made it three straight wins when taking out the Thousand Guineas Prelude after being held up in the straight, will jump from barrier six. Stablemate I Am Eloquent will be alongside in gate five as she bids for a third successive win of her own.
