Having won once and finished runner-up twice from three first-up runs, the son of Foxwedge heads into Monday’s assignment first-up following an impressive barrier trial.

He finished 4th in the 1000m trial and was never pushed out, while the trio that finished in front of him and where pushed out have strong form.

Graff won the trial from El Dorado Dreaming and Bon Amis, and while El Dorado Dreaming resumed with a 3rd placing in the Group 2 Hot Danish (1400m), Graff and Bon Amis finished 12th and 3rd respectively in the inaugural $1 million The Hunter (1300m).

Foxy’s Foxinator has also won and placed twice from four runs at Grafton, and he was only narrowly defeated first-up at this track and distance last campaign by Beach Baby who was coming off a strong win and had a clear fitness advantage.

Foxy’s Foxinator looks to have come back better than ever this time, and if Matthew McGuren can find a spot just behind the speed from barrier 8, the pair should be hard to hold out.
