The daughter of Zoustar went 2.0 lengths above BM when third-up over 1250m at Morphettville Parks before going for a five-week break.
She then tackled a 1200m on the main track at Morphettville, and despite missing the start by three lengths she worked home strongly and went 3.6 lengths above BM.
Last campaign, she posted similar figures when third and fourth-up going 2.7 lengths above BM on both occasions before posting a PB when going 5.5 lengths above BM fifth-up over 1400m at Flemington.
Similarly, she had three runs and then an 11-week break before posting the strong figure at her second run from a let-up.
She now comes into her fifth run this preparation, and her second since a let-up, and she looks ready to challenge her best performance.
Stolen Away is the only runner within six lengths of that last start performance, while Woulda Thought So and Keysor are the only runners to have previously posted strong BM figures, but each is first-up and will be better suited over longer.
Kenyan Wonder has a habit of missing the start or being slowly away, and that’s no help having drawn barrier 1.
However, Gawler is a generally a predicated track that plays fair for the first few races until horses start to find an advantage out wide later in the day.
Being race 2 on the card, Kenyan Wonder has the option of sticking to the rail and going for an inside split, or she can build out wide and swoop.
