Racing is at Rosehill on Saturday March 16

We are set for another huge day of racing with the running of the inaugural All Star Mile (1600m) at Flemington, while Group 1 racing heads to Rosehill for the Coolmore Classic (1500m).

We have combined our best selections from the two venues into a four-leg multi that pays $3223 for a $10 unit at sportsbet.

The Peter Pan Stakes (1500m) pits together a quality bunch of three-year-olds up against one another and it is the filly, VERRY ELLEEGANT, that can make her presence felt. The girls have raced well against the colts and geldings this season with Mystic Journey taking out the Australian Guineas (1600m) and Fundamentalist just missing out behind The Autumn Sun in the Randwick Guineas (1600m). Verry Elleegant has form around those two and split Amphitrite and Fundamentalist when resuming in The Vanity (1400m) at Flemington on February 16. She should take improvement out of that hitout and the extra 100m will suit. The former Kiwi, who is now in the hands of Chris Waller after a stint with Darren Weir, has drawn barrier 2 and should get the run of the race.

Rosehill Race 7 - 4:50PM COOLMORE CLASSIC (1500 METRES)
The Coolmore Classic (1500m) has had its fair share of upsets over the years and this years edition looks to be wide open. The value lies with the consistent EL DORADO DREAMING (PLACE), who comes off a 3rd placing behind Nakeeta Jane and Fundamentalist in the recent Surround Stakes (1400m). On that occasion, the daughter of Ilovethiscity settled in a midfield slot and gained the split at the 250m mark before just missing out in a blanket finish. Horses aged three have a good record in the Coolmore and El Dorado Dreaming should be suited by the big field as she likes to get back before running on. She has placed in eight of her 11 career starts and is a previous Group 1 winner. The $19 on offer is very tempting.

Flemington Race 8 - 5:10PM ALL-STAR MILE (1600 METRES)
There are a stack of genuine 'roughies' in the inaugural All Star Mile but if we eliminate some of the plodders, the real value lies with the old boy, HARTNELL (PLACE). The eight-year-old has had two runs this time in and finished a well beaten 5th behind the favourite in this, Alizee, before edging closer behind that horse when 3rd, beaten just a length in the Futurity Stakes (1400m). He seems to save his best racing for when he is third up these days and at his last preparation, he defied the big weight to land a huge win in the Epsom Handicap (1600m) at Randwick. He races well at Flemington and unlike some of the key contenders in this, he has drawn well, while he is no stranger to open class racing. He looks to be a very strong contender for a top three finish. .

This looks to be a good race for FIFTY STARS to go on with it after the Hayes/Dabernig-trained galloper fought off his rivals in the recent Blamey Stakes (1600m). On that occasion, the four-year-old burst clear for home a fraction early but dug deep to defeat So Is Bon, who subsequently ran well in last weekend's Australian Cup (2000m). He had excuses two starts ago when pulling up with issues but now that he has found form he can upstage the likes of Land Of Plenty, who he meets better at the weights this time around. From barrier 4, he looks to be the one.
