Feature racing is at Doomben on Saturday May 18, while at Morphettville, the sprinters line up in the Goodwood (1200m).

We have combined our best bets from the two venues into a four-leg multi that pays $1039 for a $10 unit at sportsbet.

Doomben Race 4 - 1:00PM JRA 3YO Plate (1200 METRES)
Race 4 at Doomben shapes as a cracker with the unbeaten Zoustyle set to lock horns with PLAGUE STONE. Zoustyle resumes after a five month layoff but I am going with the latter of the two, Plague Stone, who might just have an edge in fitness after landing the prize at Doomben in the recent Mick Dittman Plate (1110m) on April 20. On that occasion, the Godolphin galloper settled handy to the lead and was far too good in the dying stages, clearing to a four length win ahead of Vega One. He has come back a different specimen in more ways than one since being gelded and was a lazy nine length trial winner at Kembla Grange just over a week ago. With Kerrin McEvoy on board, he can go on with the job.

Doomben Race 6 - 2:20PM IPG MARKETING SOLUTIONS CHIEF DE BEERS (1110 METRES)
Race 6 at Doomben features another Godolphin galloper and it is ISUARIAN that should be hard to beat. The son of Exceed And Excel was close up in a number of black-type races at his most recent preparation and took out a strong race at Rosehill before just missing out in the Falvelon Quality (1100m) at Doomben during the summer. He comes off a couple of solid recent trial performances and is unbeaten in three fresh runs. A firmer in early betting, Isuarian has drawn perfectly with James McDonald to ride. Expect him to produce a big run.

Doomben Race 8 - 3:40PM HARDY BROTHERS JEWELLERS DOOMBEN CUP (2000 METRES)
The first emergency in the Doomben Cup is SIXTIES GROOVE (Place) and if the Kris Lees-trained galloper can sneak into the field he looks to be a great chance at the each-way odds. Connections have also accepted for the Lord Mayors Cup (2000m) at Rosehill. Interestingly, he has been trimmed in for the Doomben feature. The lightly raced six-year-old resumed in the recent Hawkesbury Cup (1600m) and ran 3rd to Archedemus. He was doing his best work late in that race and the step up to the 2000m is ideal as he has an impeccable record over the distance with four wins from as many starts. They boast a win over Trap For Fools last year, while he is also a two time second up winner. He has drawn in a nice spot for the Doomben Cup and is a player if he can gain a start.

Morphettville Race 5 - 2:36PM Robert & Fay Gerard R A Lee Stakes (1600 METRES)
The milers line up at Group 3 level in Race 5 at Morphettville and the improver should be HUSSYBAY (Place), who has had three starts this time in, including a win over the 1400m here on April 27 before finishing 4th behind Lite'n In My Veins a week later. The son of Hussonet might not have been suited by the Slow track in that race and with firm conditions likely at Morphettville he can threaten them. He has won nine of 21 on Good tracks and has an excellent record at the venue. He will settled just off the speed and with the leading jockey, Jamie Kah, on board, he can go very close.
