Racing is at Randwick on Saturday July 20 for a nine-race programme, while in Melbourne, the action is at Flemington.

We have combined out best bets from the respective venues and four-leg multi that pays $897 for a $10 investment at ladbrokes.

The exciting SIR ELTON steps out in Race 3 of the day at Randwick and will be hard to beat in his quest to make it four wins from as many starts. The Adam Duggan-trained galloper has won his first three starts by a combined margin of over 7.5 lengths and at his latest he came to Randwick after a couple of provincial wins before controlling proceedings, taking over at the 300m mark to go on to win ahead of Gimme Shelter and Dio D'oro. A slight concern is the rise in weight to the 60kg but he won with bit in hand last time and will jump from barrier 2 with the experience hoop, Hugh Bowman, to steer. He has been kept steady in the early betting and looks to be a great chance of going on with it.

Another impressive last start winner that should be hard to beat at Randwick is LJUNGBERG. The Ron Quentin-trained galloper has shown plenty of talent in his short career to date and looks to finally be putting it all together. He chased hard at his first two runs this preparation to just miss out but at his most recent start he produced some slick closing sectionals to win by two lengths from Bangkok and Charretera. He should be suited by the slight step up in trip to the 1400m and looms as the one to beat here.

Flemington Race 8 - 4:15PM VRC Recognition Handicap (1600 METRES)
Some handy performers tackle Race 8 of the day and a number of these come out of the Winter Championship Final (1600m) that was taken out by Reykjavik. The 3rd placegetter in that race, HOLBEIN (PLACE), looms as a solid place chance in this and can even go a couple of spots better this time around. He meets the winner 6.5kg better for a three length defeat and might get a bit of a cheaper time of it on the speed this time around. He has had four runs this time in with all of those at Flemington and has been competitive in all of those.

Randwick Race 9 - 4:35PM ATC MEMBER TOURS HANDICAP (1000 METRES)
The final event of the day at Randwick is a BM78 and it is the Godolphin galloper, TANIKO (PLACE), that can bob up at the each-way odds. The four-year-old resumed with a 5th at the track & distance on May 25 and was a winner the only other time she stepped out over the distance earlier in her career. Her last two runs have yielded a couple of unplaced efforts over the 1200m on Heavy tracks and she is one that can improve back to a drier surface. The daughter of Medaglia D'Oro was strong at this stage of her previous preparation and while she has drawn wide, the pace in the race might play into her hands as Tommy Berry can bide his time from the back of the field. She is a contender at the each-way quote.
