Racing is at Caulfield on Saturday August 17, while at Randwick, we head to the Kensington track.

We have combined our best bets from the two venues into a four-leg multi that pays $500 for a $10 unit at sportsbet. Here are our selections.

Race 1 - 12:15PM MRC Foundation Supports Legacy Handicap (1100 METRES)
We open up with a BenchMark 78 and TONY NICCONI (PLACE) can make his presence felt at nice odds. The Hayes & Dabernig-trained galloper has had some mixed results in his five starts since taking out the Vain Stakes (1200m) on this day last year, but does look suited in this. He showed improvement when second up at Randwick recently, punching hard to lead and holding on for 4th in what was a solidly run race and he gets back to his favoured track on Saturday. The dryer surface should also play into his hands, while the 2kg claim for Lachlan King is another bonus. The four-year-old is likely to again push forward and should be right in the thick of things at the business end.

Race 7 - 4:00PM Regal Roller Stakes (1200 METRES)
A handy field of sprinters are set to tackle the Regal Roller Stakes (1200m) and the consistent ANTAH (PLACE) looks to be a solid place prospect. The lightly raced seven-year-old has won or placed in each of his past eight runs and came over from Tasmania at the end of last year before working through the grades this autumn to register wins at Caulfield and Bendigo. He was rock solid before the break, scorching to a big win in a 'metropolitan' meeting at Bendigo on Saturday March 30, taking over to defeat Simply Invincible by three lengths over the 1400m. His form at the distance reads as two wins from four starts. A firmer in the early betting, he has also performed well when first up in the past.

Race 8 - 4:40PM P.B. Lawrence Stakes (1400 METRES)
The feature of the day is the Lawrence Stakes and the old boy, HARTNELL (PLACE), can go very close to taking this out. The popular nine-year-old is back again for another campaign and placed in his past four starts, including behind Winx in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) and Alizee in the Futurity Stakes (1400m) at this track. His first up form has been outstanding in recent years, claiming the Orr Stakes (1400m) at the track & trip when fresh last year, before just missing out in this race in the spring. He has drawn well in his return and looks to be right in this.

One of the key races at the Kensington track at Randwick on Saturday is the Premier's Cup Prelude and it is the Chris Waller-trained SO YOU WIN that can bounce back after going down in the shadows as a short priced favourite on June 29. The much improved galloper strong together a couple of solid wins at Rosehill earlier this preparation and did all the chasing in his recent loss before becoming a big of a sitting duck or He Ekscels, while there was a big gap to the 3rd placegetter. The seven weeks in between runs should suit as he has performed well off similar gaps in the past, while he is two from three at the distance. He will save plenty of ground from barrier 1 with James McDonald on board and looks to be the one.
