Racing is at Caulfield on Saturday September 21, while in Sydney, the action is at Randwick.

We have combined our best bets from the two venues into a four leg multi that pays $1328 for a $10 investment at sportsbet.

Here are our selections.

Caulfield Race 3 - 1:45PM Living Legends Plate (1000 METRES)
Race 3 at Caulfield pits the three-year-olds up against one another and a solid contender at the double figure odds is LUCIFER'S REWARD (PLACE). The Brendan McCarty-trained galloper sticks to the 1000m and resumed with a big win in easier grade at Sandown on September 9. He rises in grade but was competitive behind the likes of Super Seth at his last preparation and will get a very nice trail into the race from barrier 3. He has won two of three over the trip and there are question marks over a few of the favoured runners in this that are either resuming or slightly unproven.

Caulfield Race 5 - 2:55PM Ladbrokes How Now Stakes (1200 METRES)
Pippie is set to line up as favourite in the How Now Stakes and has been able to dictate terms at her past two. The four-year-old will be hard to beat but might find some stiff opposition in the form of BELLA MARTINI (PLACE). The Hawkes galloper has some good form at the highest level and resumes after finishing 3rd behind Spright in the Sangster Stakes (1200m) in the autumn. She is yet to win in five fresh runs but it should be noted she was a tad unlucky in the past two of those when finishing 4th to Alassio in the Triscay Stakes (1200m) earlier this year and in the same position behind Osborne Bulls in the Regal Roller Stakes (1200m) last year. She gets in well at the set weights and penalties conditions of the race and should get a nice run from the favourable draw. She can be a factor

With the Everest (1200m) looming large, the Shorts has attracted a crack field of sprinters and it is OSBORNE BULLS (PLACE) that kicks off his campaign. The lightly races six-year-old finished runner-up in five starts in the autumn, with all of those occurring at Group 1 level. He kicked off with a narrow defeat in the Lightning Stakes and featured in the T.J.Smith Stakes (1200m) amongst others. He has been given a trial at Randwick in preparation for this and the presence of his stablemate, Home Of The Brave, as well as Redzel, should ensure there is plenty of pace in this so he can launch at them late.

The Group 1 Colgate Optic White Stakes shapes as the highlight at Randwick and AVILIUS (WIN) can turn the tables on Samadoubt, who has pinched victory at his last two with some daring tactics after leading all the way. Avilius, who likes to settle back, has been the best of the back markers in both of those runs, finishing 4th in the Winx Stakes (1400m) before closing off to be runner-up I the Chipping Norton. The six-year-old needs to make up three lengths on Samadoubt but a key to his chances shapes as the solid tempo that is predicted, while we know that he enjoys a wet track. Look for him to notch his first win of this campaign.
