Sunshine Coast racing at Corbould Park Friday night

They’re racing under lights at Corbould Park tonight and I like one who is fourth run back and showing incredible overs.

Race 6 - 8:45PM MULTIMEAT AUSTRALIA PTY LTD BenchMark 70 Handicap (1400 METRES)
Since transferring from the Shea Eden stables at Cranbourne, BAREFOOT TYCOON has been thereabouts in all seven of his Queensland starts. Resuming at the Gold Coast on November 17, the Written Tycoon gelding wasn’t disgraced when trying to lead all the way in BM75 company over the 1200m trip. His condition gave out in the closing stages as he faded to fourth behind Motion Granted that day. He experienced a similar ending next -up when finishing third in a class 3 at Beaudesert. Last start, he had his first look at Corbould Park and jockey Michael Cahill chose to take a sit behind the front runner (Voulait) who showed a great turn of foot to go on with the job, while Barefoot Tycoon whacked away behind the Wanted gelding, only to be tipped out of second prize by a fast finishing Get Outa Utah. Trainer Dave Fletcher has decided to push the six-year-old out to the 1400m tonight which could prove to be a winning move. His last win was at Pakenham over the 1400m trip and after three starts he could be looking for the extra ground. Michael Cahill remains aboard here and jumping from gate three, he will have the option of leading or taking a sit behind one of the several others in the race with good early gate speed. I am expecting him to take the sit (due to the step up in distance). There are no weight advantages here with the top three or four chances all carrying similar weights. At the odds, he looks overs to me and is great each-way value in a race of this nature.
