The James Cummings-trained six-year-old gelding Avilius has drawn barrier nine for Saturday’s Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m) at Flemington.

Jockey Dwayne Dunn will ride Godolphin’s Avilius from barrier nine in the Australian Cup. The gelding has been unplaced in both runs this preparation and will appreciate the step up to 2000m.

An inside draw for Chris Waller’s Kings Will Dream with the six-year-old gelding drawing barrier one.

Regal Power has drawn wide in barrier 12 with regular jockey William Pike riding the Railway Stakes winner.

Melbourne Cup winner Vow And Declare returns to Flemington and will begin from barrier 10.
