Nature Strip is a dominant odds-on favourite to win Saturday’s Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning (1000m) at Flemington.

A small field of seven runners will contest Saturday’s Group 1 sprint down the Flemington straight.

The Chris Waller-trained five-year-old gelding Nature Strip is the $1.50 favourite. He raced four times last preparation, winning the Group 1 Moir Stakes (1000m) at The Valley and Group 1 Darley Sprint Classic (1200m) at Flemington.

Boasting a first-up record of two wins from four starts, Nature Strip looks hard to beat as he begins his autumn campaign.

Loving Gaby was runner up in the Darley Sprint Classic, finishing 3.25 lengths from Nature Strip. The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained three-year-old filly is $6.00 to turn the tables on Saturday. She is a perfect two-from-two when racing fresh.

Two-time The Everest winner Redzel is $7.50 for trainers Peter and Paul Snowden. Redzel boasts a first-up record of 10 starts for five wins and four seconds.

Gytrash is next best at $11 ahead of Tofane at $21, Despatch at $35 and I Am Excited at $46.
