Black Caviar Lightning Nominations

Nominations for the 2022 Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning (1000m) at Flemington Racecourse will take place on Monday, February 7.

Below are the nominations for the 2021 Black Caviar Lightning:

Four-year-old entire Bivouac is one of the headline entries for the Black Caviar Lightning for trainer James Cummings. Bivouac was last seen in November winning the Group 1 Darley Sprint Classic (1200m) by 3.25 lengths over Nature Strip.

Looking to turn the tables on that last effort is the Chris Waller-trained Nature Strip who is also amongst the Black Caviar Lightning nominations for Saturday’s $750,000 feature race. Nature Strip won the Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) at Randwick last year before a mixed preparation during the spring.

Nature Strip’s stablemate September Run, a three-year-old filly, has also been nominated. September Run defeated Swats That in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) during the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Anders, Elite Street, Fabergino, Halvorsen, Muntaseera, Pippie and Swats That round out the nominations.
