CF Orr Stakes Odds and Betting
Last start Australia Stakes winner Scales Of Justice is the $3.30 favourite to win Saturday’s Group 1 CF Orr Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield.
Returning from a spell in the Group 2 Australia Stakes (1200m) at The Valley on January 24, the Lindsey Smith-trained seven-year-old gelding Scales Of Justice defeated Hey Doc by three-quarters of a length.
During the spring, Scales Of Justice won the Group 1 Memsie Stakes (1400m) over So Si Bon and Alizee. He begins from barrier seven with Dean Yendall in the saddle.
The Tony & Calvin McEvoy-trained six-year-old gelding Hey Doc is a $5.50 chance as he looks to turn the tables on Scales Of Justice. He was victorious in the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) held at Ascot in November. Hey Doc has drawn barrier five with jockey Luke Currie riding.
Michael Moroney trains three-year-old colt Alabama Express ($7.50) who was a two-length winner of a 3YO Handicap (1100m) at Flemington on January 18. He was successful during the spring by capturing the Listed Gothic Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield.
Begood Toya Mother comes of a 4.45-length defeat in the Australia Stakes. That was his first run back since winning the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) in September. The Daniel Bowman-trained five-year-old gelding has won two of three when racing second-up from a spell and is currently $8.00.
Avilius is at $10 ahead of Ringerdingding at $13.
