Te Akau Shark is favourite to win the Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Champion mare Winx won four straight Chipping Norton Stakes between 2016-2019. With the mare’s retirement, another runner will get to bask in Group 1 glory and it is the Jamie Richards-trained five-year-old gelding Te Akau Shark that is the $2.50 favourite.

The New Zealand galloper was a winner first up at home as $1.40 favourite in the Group 1 BCD Group Sprint (1400m) at Te Rapa.

Dreamforce comes off a second behind Alizee in the Group 2 Apollo Stakes (1400m) and is the second favourite at $5.50.

Avilius is third favourite at $6.50 following a fifth-placed effort in the Group 1 CF Orr Stakes (1400m). The James Cummings-trained six-year-old gelding has won three from five at Randwick.

Fierce Impact is fourth pick at $7.50. He also ran in the CF Orr Stakes, finishing a quarter of a length from the winner in second place.

Happy Clapper leads the rest of the field at $11.
