The Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) nominations will be announced March 7, 2022.

This page will be updated following the nominations release. Below are the nominations from 2021.

Richard and Michael Freedman’s three-year-old filly Forbidden Love is one of the headline nominations for the Coolmore Classic. A winner of five races from 11 starts, Forbidden Love was victorious in the Group 1 Surround Stakes (1400m) last start with a dominant three-length victory.

The Anthony Cummings-trained five-year-old mare Mizzy also appears in the list of nominations after running second in the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes (1300m) on March 6.

Three-year-old filly Dame Giselle was beaten six lengths by Forbidden Love in the Surround Stakes after starting as favourite; she was ninth in the field of 16 runners.

Queensland five-year-old mare Krone for trainer Tony Gollan also appears in the entries. She won the $1 million Magic Millions Fillies and Mares (1300m) two starts ago before capturing the Group 2 Guy Walter Proven Thoroughbred Stakes (1400m).

See below for the full list of nominations for the $600,000 feature.
