Golden Rose Stakes Betting Odds 2020
The Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) will be run at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, September 26. Here are the latest Golden Rose Stakes betting odds.
Queensland star Rothfire is the $1.90 favourite to capture Saturday’s Golden Rose. Trained by Robert Heathcote, the three-year-old gelding has had eight career starts for seven wins and a second. A winner of the Group 1 JJ Atkins (1400m) as a two-year-old, Rothfire returned with a dominant 1.5-length win in the Group 2 Run To The Rose (1200m). Ole Kirk and North Pacific were the placegetters in the lead up race.
North Pacific is second favourite at $5.50 after finishing 2.5 lengths from Rothfire. Prior to that, North Pacific won the Group 3 Up And Coming Stakes (1300m) by a massive 5.3 lengths. He has won two of four starts and is trained by Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes.
Ole Kirk and Peltzer are both $9 chances. Ole Kirk is a stablemate to North Pacific. He was third behind King’s Legacy in the Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m) last season and has raced twice this preparation for a second both times.
Three-year-old colt Peltzer finished fourth in the Run To The Rose. Prior to that run, he was second behind Anders in the Group 3 San Domenico Stakes (1100m).
