Kingston Town Classic Final Field & Barrier Draw

The final field and barrier draw have been announced for Saturday’s Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m) at Ascot.

Railway Stakes (1600m) winner Inspirational Girl has drawn the car park for the Kingston Town Classic. She will jump from barrier 18 with jockey William Pike riding for trainers Grant and Alana Williams.

The five-year-old mare has a tremendous record with 11 starts returning nine wins and two minor placings. She takes aim at a fourth-straight victory and will take her earnings past $1 million by running first or second in the Kingston Town.

Sean and Jake Casey prepare three-year-old gelding Dom To Shoot who finished third behind Watch Me Dance in the Group 2 WA Guineas (1600m) last start. He will jump from barrier seven with Peter Knuckey riding.

Too Close The Sun will look to turn the tables on Inspirational Girl after finishing 1.84 lengths behind the mare in the Railway Stakes. Two starts ago he was victorious in the Listed Ascot Gold Cup (1800m) and has drawn barrier 10 for Saturday’s assignment.

Defending champion Kay Cee will jump from barrier 11 after a disappointing 11th in the Railway.
