A final field of 16 has been declared for Saturday’s Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) at Flemington after the barrier draw was completed on Wednesday morning.

South Australian Derby (2500m) winner Russian Camelot has drawn wide in barrier 14 with jockey Damien Oliver to ride. Trained by Danny O’Brien, the four-year-old entire has raced just five times for three wins and a second. He defeated Dalasan in the SA Derby by two lengths and resumes on Saturday in the Makybe Diva Stakes.

Dalasan has drawn barrier eight as he will look to turn the tables on Russian Camelot. The Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas-trained four-year-old entire has been beaten in both runs back from a spell but will have race fitness on his side.

The Chris Waller-trained seven-year-old gelding Kings Will Dream was third at his first run back from a spell in the Group 2 PB Lawrence Stakes (1400m) won by Savatiano. Kings Will Dream will start from barrier 15 with Jye McNeil in the saddle.

Matthew Smith’s seven-year-old entire Fierce Impact will be second-up into the Makybe Diva following a third placing in the Group 1 Winx Stakes (1400m) won by Verry Elleegant. Mark Zahra picks up the ride with Fierce Impact drawing gate five.

Melbourne Cup winner Vow And Declare has barrier 11, Master Of Wine has 10, Warning nine and Perfect Jewel draws barrier two with William Pike to ride.
