The Group 1 Melbourne Cup (3200m) will be run at Flemington on Tuesday, November 3. Here are the latest Melbourne Cup betting odds.

Anthony Van Dyck is one of two $8 favourites for the $7.75 million Lexus Melbourne Cup. Two starts ago he defeated Stradivarius and then followed it up by finishing a narrow second in the Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) won by Verry Elleegant who is an $11 chance.

Tiger Moth ($8) is a stablemate to Anthony Van Dyck with both horses trained by master conditioner Aidan O’Brien. It would be a remarkable story if the four-year-old entire were to claim the Melbourne Cup. He has raced just four times in his career for two wins. He was beaten a head by Santiago in the Group 1 Irish Derby (2414m).

Cox Plate (2040m) winner Sir Dragonet is $9 to win the Melbourne Cup. Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, the five-year-old entire will be ridden by Glen Boss who is famous for completing a hat-trick of Cups with legendary mare Makybe Diva.

Six-year-old gelding Surprise Baby is a $9.50 chance. Trained by Paul Preusker, Surprise Baby finished fifth in the Cup in 2019 when making up a lot of ground to finish a length away from Vow And Declare. Surprise Baby ran second in the Group 2 Feehan Stakes (1600m) followed by a 2.4-length defeat when ninth in the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) won by Verry Elleegant.

Verry Elleegant and Prince Of Arran are both $11 with Russian Camelot next in the market at $12.
