Newmarket Handicap Betting Odds 2022
Here are the Newmarket Handicap odds for 2021.
Chris Waller’s three-year-old filly September Run looks the horse to beat in the 2021 Newmarket Handicap. She won the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) down the famous Flemington ‘Straight Six’ back in October. She resumed with an excellent second in the Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning (1000m).
September Run is currently the $2.30 favourite to win the Newmarket Handicap where she has drawn barrier eight with Craig Williams to ride.
The third placegetter from the Black Caviar Lightning is three-year-old filly Swats That for trainers Leon and Troy Corstens. She was beaten 1.75 lengths in that event and had chased home September Run in the Coolmore Stud Stakes when second. Swats That is the second elect at $7.50 with all other runners in double figures.
Celebrity Queen is a $12 chance on the back of winning the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m).
Sirius Suspect is next in betting at $14. He has won his last two starts for trainer Saab Hasan with the latest being the Group 3 Standish Handicap (1200m).
