Oakleigh Plate Nominations

Nominations for the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield were announced on Monday with 20 entries received.

The Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra-trained five-year-old gelding Zoutori is one of the 20 nominations. Three starts ago he won the Group 2 Bobbie Lewis Quality (1200m) at Flemington before capturing the Group 2 Gilgai Stakes (1200m) at his next start.

Zoutori was last seen running fourth behind Bivouac and Nature Strip in the Group 1 Darley Sprint Classic (1200m).

Four-year-old gelding Ancestry has won his last four starts for trainer Phillip Stokes and has been entered for the $500,000 feature race. Ancestry won the Listed GH Mumm Century Stakes (1000m) at Flemington on November 5 prior to a spell. He has had a pair of trials leading up to his return to racing.

The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained three-year-old colt Anders was a dominant winner of the Group 3 San Domenico Stakes (1100m) before finishing third of three runners in the Group 3 Blue Sapphire Stakes (1200m) when beaten as a $1.35 favourite.
