Oakleigh Plate odds
Bivouac is the favourite for Saturday’s Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield.
Trained by James Cummings, three-year-old colt Bivouac returns to the track since a second-placed effort in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m). Bivouac won the Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) at Group 1 level during the spring and is $2.90 to win the Oakleigh Plate from barrier seven.
Peter and Paul Snowden-trained three-year-old filly Anaheed is $5.00 despite barrier 15. She was a winner first up from a spell at Caulfield after claiming the Group 2 Rubiton Stakes (1100m). Anaheed will carry 51kg in the race.
During the spring, Anaheed was beaten 1.75 lengths by Loving Gaby when running third in the Group 1 Manikato Stakes (1200m). Vital Silver was runner up in that event before running second in the Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) in Perth.
The other runner in single figures is the John and Chris Meagher-trained four-year-old mare Pippie at $8.50. She is first up from a spell since finishing second in the Group 3 Furphy Sprint (1100m) on Derby Day.
