Randwick Guineas Betting Odds 2022
The Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) will be run at Royal Randwick on Saturday, March 5 and odds will be available in the lead up to the event.
Below are the odds from 2021.
Unbeaten New Zealand three-year-old gelding Aegon is the $2.20 favourite for Saturday’s Randwick Guineas. A winner at all five starts, Aegon is already a Group 1 winner at home and was victorious in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill Gardens defeating North Pacific and Prime Star.
Aegon is trained by Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman and was ridden by Hugh Bowman in the Hobartville.
Mo’unga for trainer Annabel Neasham is the second favourite at $6.50. Formerly trained by Chris Waller, Mo’unga was third in the Group 3 CS Hayes Stakes (1400m) at Flemington.
Three-year-old colt Peltzer was a winner of the Group 3 Eskimo Prince Stakes (1200m) two starts ago, a race which saw North Pacific finish fourth. Peltzer was then fourth in the Hobartville Stakes finishing 2.8 lengths away after leading in the event. Peltzer is $8 for the Guineas.
North Pacific is also $8 to get the better of both Aegon and Peltzer after a string of consistent performances without winning. Trained by Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes, North Pacific has raced seven times for two wins, two seconds and two thirds.
It is double figures for remaining runners.
