Surround Stakes Betting Odds 2022

The Group 1 Surround Stakes (1400m) will be run at Royal Randwick on Saturday, February 26 and we will have markets up as soon as they are set.

Here are the Surround Stakes odds for 2021.

Peter and Paul Snowden’s three-year-old filly Dame Giselle is the $4.80 favourite to win the Surround Stakes. She has had 11 career starts for five wins, including a hat-trick of wins at Group 2 level back in August and September when claiming the Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m), Furious Stakes (1200m) and Tea Rose Stakes (1400m).

Anthony and Sam Freedman have La Mexicana racing in top form as she has won five races from just seven starts. La Mexicana is $6.50 on the back of winning the Group 3 Kevin Hayes Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on February 6.

Kris Lees has Never Talk rock-hard fit for Saturday’s assignment with the filly a winner of five races from eight starts. She was second behind Every Rose in the Group 2 Light Fingers Stakes (1200m) and was a real eye-catcher in that event. Never Talk is an $8 chance.

Classy filly Away Game is $9.50 and she looks to put a string of minor placings behind her. The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained filly ran third in the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas (1400m) and third in the Group 2 Light Fingers Stakes (1200m).

Next best is Group 1 Flight Stakes (1600m) and Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) winner Montefilia and Chris Waller’s Hungry Heart who are both at an $11 quote.
