The Everest Betting Odds 2020

The $15 million The Everest (1200m) will be run at Royal Randwick on Saturday, October 17. Here are the latest The Everest betting odds.

Despite consecutive defeats as race favourite, the Chris Waller-trained Nature Strip is the $4.20 favourite to win The Everest. He was runner up in the Group 2 Concorde Stakes (1000m) when beaten by Gytrash as a $1.45 favourite. The six-year-old gelding then finished fourth in the Group 2 Premiere Stakes (1200m).

The Les Bridge-trained five-year-old gelding Classique Legend is second favourite at $4.40 after a monstrous effort to run second behind Libertini in the Premiere Stakes. He was victorious in the Group 2 The Shorts (1100m) prior to that defeating Eduardo and Bivouac.

Gytrash is prepared by Gordon Richards and returned in good style with a 1.5-length win over Nature Strip in the Concorde. Back in March, Gytrash ran second in the Group 1 William Reid Stakes (1200m). Gytrash is a $6.50 chance to claim The Everest.

Libertini is an $8 chance on the back of her victory in the Premiere Stakes. The race panned out nicely for the four-year-old mare who is trained by Anthony Cummings. She put them away late to finish a two-length winner of the race.

Behemoth captured back-to-back Group 1 races with wins in the Memsie Stakes (1400m) and Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m). He drops back to 1200m where he has won twice from seven starts. Behemoth is $9.50 with all other runners in double figures.
