Thousand Guineas Nominations

Saturday’s Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield has attracted 41 nominations.

Unbeaten three-year-old filly Instant Celebrity is the biggest nomination for this year’s Thousand Guineas. Trained by Phillip Stokes, Instant Celebrity won the Group 2 Thousand Guineas Prelude (1400m) at her most recent start on September 26. At just her second career start, she won the Listed Oaklands Plate (1400m) at Morphettville.

The Tom Dabernig and Ben Hayes-trained filly Aidensfield has been entered for the Thousand Guineas. She has raced four times for two wins and two seconds. Both runs this prep have seen her finish second to Night Raid in the Listed Atlantic Jewel Stakes (1200m) at The Valley and second to Odeum in the Listed Jim Moloney Stakes (1400m).

Personal has also been nominated for the Thousand Guineas. She is a stablemate to Aidensfield and has raced on six occasions for one win. She was beaten one length by Instant Celebrity in the Prelude.

Other important nominations include Hungry Heart, Vangelic, Agreeable and Odeum.
