The Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) nominations were announced on Monday with 16 entries for Saturday’s three-year-old fillies’ feature event.

David Payne’s Montefilia is one of the headline nominations for the Vinery Stud Stakes. She competed in the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) on March 27 when beaten one length by Mo’unga. Back in October, Montefilia was on the one-week back up when capturing the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes (2000m).

Tom Dabernig and Ben Hayes prepare Personal who was a last start third in the Group 2 Kewney Stakes (1600m) won by Starelle who is also nominated for the Vinery Stud Stakes. Danny O’Brien trains Starelle who broke her maiden in the Kewney at start number eight.

Hungry Heart and Harmony Rose are also key nominations for the Vinery along with Force Of Will who has won four straight in New Zealand.
