The 2022 William Reid Stakes (1200m) barrier draw will be announced at 9:00am March 16, 2022.

This page will be updated when the field is declared. Below is the final field and barriers from 2021.

Sydney trainer Chris Waller has three-year-old filly September Run engaged with Craig Williams once again in the saddle. The barrier draw has not been kind to September Run as she has drawn gate 12.

September Run was an eye-catching second in the Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning (1000m) two starts ago before disappointing when finishing 10th in the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m).

The Phillip Stokes-trained four-year-old gelding Ancestry has won nine races from 15 starts, including the Listed Ranvet Abell Stakes (1200m) at The Valley on March 13. Ancestry has come up with barrier 10 with Michael Poy to ride.

Swats That, another three-year-old filly, has drawn barrier four while Newmarket Handicap runner up Indian Pacific was given barrier 14.
