We had been keen to highlight MORRISSETTE (Best Odds Currently $10 with BlueBet) for the #SABlackbookers. Didn’t want to go off too soon with her as we’ve had this race in mind for her all prep. Her run in the Australasian Oaks showed her to be right on track for this assignment. Trapped deep with cover out the back of an even tempo at best, Morrissette was able to wind through her gears to hit the line hard. Ran a brave race when ridden upside down towards the front in the VRC Oaks at her fourth run into the Spring. She’s a stronger, more experienced filly this time in and surely has the Fillies Classic within her keeping.

The 2022 Goodwood is finally here, and this is the race we’ve had in mind for #SABlackbookers horse MANHATTEN TIMES (Best Odds Currently $29 with Bet365). Recorded the day’s fastest last 600m after being forced to sit/sprint last start, and all the while being thrown out of rhythm early. Hall Of Fame trainer Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas have thrown the keys to Jessica Eaton following her sensational ride aboard the stablemate in her maiden G1 appearance a fortnight ago. The young senior and progressive 3yo both have what it takes to land South Australia’s premier sprint race on Saturday.

MISS ALBANIA (Best Odds Currently $10 with Bet365) went straight into the Video Watch out of the D.C. McKay after being tardily away. Gathered herself a to race strongly on the bridle behind the speed for Damien Oliver. Never got a fair crack at them into the straight, going to the line untested. Suspect Johnny Allen may let her stride across from that outside draw here. She ran away from her rivals during a powerful performance over 1100m up the Flemington straight last prep. The way she ran past her rivals post-race last start also points to Miss Albania’s ability to see out the 1200m.
