Below is our guide to the best chances at Moruya today:

The Terry Robinson-trained SPRITELY EMILY (best odds $3.10 with Sportsbet) is in great touch this time in and looks the one to beat here. Last start, the So You Think mare came off a Maiden win, here over the mile when she took on city class company in a much harder Class 3 over the shorter 1400m trip on Randwick’s Kensington track. She found them a little too strong on the day, finishing unplaced, but beaten less than three lengths on the line. She ran the journey, 1.4 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this line-up. The six-year-old drops sharply in grade here as she returns to the country scene and is joined by the experienced Jeff Penza today. Drawn the fence, she maps to settle in the first four with little trouble and will take beating today.

Canberra visitor YESTERDAY’S GONE (best odds $5.50 with Sportsbet) sees the Moruya track for the first time today and brings current form with her that puts her right in this. Last start, the Fighting Sun mare was having just her second race start when she proved too good for her maiden rivals in the 1000m event on her home track. She ran her last 600m, 6.6 lengths slower than benchmark, the second-best in this line-up. From gate five today, she maps to settle in the first half-dozen and has Mathew Cahill remaining aboard. Fitter and more experienced now, a trouble-free run can see her saluting again today.

The locally-trained PRINCESS DE ROCA (best odds $2.50 with bet365) resumes here and looks ideally-placed to rack-up win number four today. Last start, the El Roca mare ended her last campaign in a Highway Class 3 over 1400m at Kembla Grange. She did well to finish fourth that day in a strong field. She ran the trip, 1.8 lengths slower than benchmark, the best in this field. Unbeaten in two previous first-up appearances, she comes off a 17-week break here with Alysha Collett in the saddle for her second ride on the mare. Perfectly drawn in gate one today, she gets the gun-run and maps to settle in the box-seat. In the small field here, she looks a stand-out on fresh legs and is our best of the day.
