This looks to be a suitable assignment for BLISTERING ($4.80 with Palmerbet). The Moe galloper is compiling a handy record and was a winner at Stony Creek three starts ago before narrowly missing out at Caulfield behind Adele Amour. Following that, she performed well when 4th behind the likes of Comica and Sirileo Miss in the $200,000 VOBIS Gold Distaff, covering ground in the process. The daughter of Ready For Victory drops to a midweek and reunites with the 2kg claimer, Lewis German, who rode her to her win at Stony Creek. Expect her to run well.

One at the each-way quote that comes up in Race 6 and it is ENTITLED PRINCESS ($12 with bet365) that can go close at her third run back. The four-year-old has finished runner-up at her two runs this time in and hit her straps at her third run last time when stepping up from the 1600m to the 2000m in a BenchMark 70 at Ballarat, scoring by more than three lengths. Rising to the 1800m for this is a tick and she produced the fastest last 200m at her recent run, while she should enjoy a nice time of it from barrier 3 with Billy Egan to ride.

Best Value for the day comes in the final race and AIR DEFENCE ($21 with Palmerbet) is well worth thought at the price. The four-year-old hasn’t had much luck at his past couple and produced a bit of an eye-catcher in the $125,000 Gold Eldorado at Echuca over the 1200m two starts ago before running into brick walls at Bendigo behind Linas Legend in a BM70 over the 1300m on April 2. The four-year-old comes in with five weeks in between runs and looks to be back near the form that he showed in some strong races just over a year ago. Worth a play at the price.
