The Chris Waller-trained TURN ME OVER (best odds currently $4.20 with bet365) has had a sensational start to his racing career and looks poised to go on with it here today. Last start, the Turn Me Loose gelding made it back-to-back victories when he finished over the top of them in a BM60 Hcp over 2200m on a Heavy 8 at the Gold Coast. He ran that out, half a length slower than benchmark, setting a new personal best that day. He also posted the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. His only start on the synthetic track saw him finish runner-up in a Class 1, here four starts back. James Orman is back in the saddle today and with the form the three-year-old brings here, he looks the one to beat in this contest.

Beaudesert galloper PIVOTAL MOTION (best odds currently $5.50 with bet365) sees the synthetic track for the first time today and ticks enough boxes to suggest he is a serious contender in this contest. Last start, the Kuroshio gelding beat all but one home in a Class 5 Hcp over 1350m at Ipswich. He covered the trip, half a length slower than benchmark that day which is the best in this line-up. Samantha Collett was aboard for that ride and sticks with him here. Ideally drawn in gate three, he maps to be box-seating on settling and should prove hard to hold out from there. Four top-two finishes from his past five starts suggests he is at the top of his game this time in and looks a genuine winning chance at odds today.

The Kelly Schweida-trained VITESSE FRANCAIS (best odds currently $3.80 with bet365) is in great touch this time in and with previous experience on the synthetic track, looks a solid chance here to bring up his fourth career win today. Last start, the So You Think gelding stepped up the 1800m trip and wasn’t disgraced when finishing fourth in the BM75 Hcp at Eagle Farm. Although missing a podium finish on the day, he still ran the trip out, 4.1 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best here and set a new personal best as well. Back to the mile today, he is already a two-time winner over the trip and looks in the mix here.
