Here are our Wagga Wagga tips for today.

The Canberra-based galloper DEVINE MISS (best odds currently $3.50 with Palmerbet) is yet to miss a podium finish from her five career starts to date and looks poised to keep that record intact here today. Last start, the Headwater filly came off a first-up win in Class 1 company when she took on a Class 2 Hcp over 1200m on her home track. She beat all but one home that day, covering the trip, 5 lengths slower than benchmark, second-best here to Our Baez who resumes off a 14-week spell here. Norm Gardner’s filly finished third in a recent trial and with Alysha Collett in the saddle today looks right in the mix here as she makes here track debut. Her resume suggests she will take beating today.

The Barbara Joseph team saddle-up MANDERBOSS here (best odds currently $6.50 with bet365) and in his current form, looks a genuine contender here. Last start, the Vadamos gelding easily accounted for them in the Guineas Prelude, here over 1400m. He ran his last 600m, 3.3 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field. He also recorded the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. Already a winner over the mile and a now a winner at the track, he maps to settle back in the field again and be storming home in the run to the line. Quayde Krogh has ridden him three times for two wins and remains aboard today. He looks a real chance at good odds here.

A very open field faces the starter in this year’s Gold Cup event and the Annabel Neasham-trained NUMERIAN (best odds currently $9.50 with Ladbrokes) looking a touch overs for the event. Last start, the Irish-bred gelding was third-up this time in when he turned some heads, finishing runner-up behind Polly Grey in the Group 3 JRA Plate (2000m) on a heavy Randwick track. Despite the wet conditions, he ran the trip out, 11.4 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this line-up and a new personal best as well. He draws gate one today where he does no early work and has Tommy Berry sticking with him. Already a winner in Listed company and placed at Group 2 and 3 level, he will be at his peak fourth-up here and should play a leading hand in the finish. Well worth an each-way ticket today.
