Bendigo Tips July 14 – Pierro filly looks well placed first-up

  • Three-year-old filly looks the goods, first-up after a blistering trial

We are left to deal with a heavy track today but after a blistering trial, that shouldn’t worry this David Brideoake-trained filly.
Race 7 – 3:15PM Stamford Tyres Fillies and Mares BM70 Handicap (1100 METRES)Resuming from an 11-week break, BLONDE DISPOSITION only has to overcome a wide draw here to be the benchmark in the race. The Pierro filly won two of her four starts last preparation before being spelled. She returned to work earlier this month and lined up in a Cranbourne trial over 1000m which she won by two lengths on a heavy track. She has drawn the outside gate here (after scratchings) but in a small field it may not be a huge disadvantage. Andrew Mallyon has ridden the filly in seven of her eight races and remains aboard here. Based on her trial performance, she looks hard to beat here.
