Race 1 - 1:54PM FA’EM RACING HANDICAP (1116 METRES)
Best Bet 🏆No. 1 PANZDOWN $1.95 Bet Now!
This looks to be a suitable assignment for PANZDOWN to kick off his autumn campaign. The Simon Miller-trained galloper has not been seen since dropping out of it in the W.A.Guineas (1600m) last November but wasn’t far away in his other three runs of that preparation, placing twice before running within a length of Kallaroo at Listed level when 5th in the Fairetha Stakes (1400m). He went just 0.4 lengths slower than standard in his first up run last time, while he went 2.1 lengths slower in the Guineas. No other runner in this race has produced better figures in the past two years. He gets the 3kg claim for Holly Watson and should be winning.
Race 2 - 2:29PM ASP SECURITY MAIDEN (1705 METRES)
Next Best 🥈No. 6 THE VERDICT $2.40 Bet Now!
THE VERDICT looks ready to deliver in Race 2 of the day, which is a Maiden over the 1700m. The Colin Webster-trained galloper has had the four career starts and showed improvement at the most recent of those when stepping up to the 1400m, finishing runner-up behind Kazoku at Pinjarra on March 25. In that race, the three-year-old settled on the speed and loomed at the 200m before just being grabbed late. She set a personal best by going five lengths slower than standard benchmark and only Lucca Manette (4.9 lengths slower) has produced better career figures. At her fourth run this time in she should be open to further improvement and with even luck in running she can take this out.
Race 4 - 3:39PM FURPHY - REFRESHING ALE MAIDEN (1116 METRES)
Best Value💰No. 6 WUNDERKIND $7.50 Bet Now!
Race 4 is a Maiden over the 1116m and WUNDERKIND can break through for her first career victory. The Neville Parnham-trained filly has had seven career runs for a couple of minor placings and stuck on well in a stronger race at Ascot over the 1000m on March 24, finishing 5th behind How’s The Serenity. She placed in two of her three prior to that and went three lengths faster than standard benchmark at her last start, which is 12 lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner and more than four lengths better than what any of these have produced in the past two years. The daughter of Gingerbread Man won’t be too far away in the run, while the step up to the 1100m should suit.
Race 5 - 4:17PM AMELIA PARK HANDICAP (1216 METRES)
Next Best 🥈No. 1 NOBLE REFLECTION $3.20 Bet Now!
Race 5 of the day is a Class 3 and NOBLE REFLECTION can go a couple of spots better than a first up effort that saw him run 3rd behind Captain Kaos over the 1200m at Ascot on March 24. On that occasion, the four-year-old settled just behind the leaders and peeled out three wide when the race heated up late but just lacked the dash in the dying stages. The son of Artie Schiller will strip fitter for this and at his last campaign he improved 12.5 lengths on benchmark figures between his first and second up runs when going from an 8th at Belmont to a 3rd at that venue. From barrier 5, he won’t be far away in the run and he is another that gets the 3kg claim for Holly Watson.
