Well when you find something this good, stick with it! ACE ATTACK has been superb as a blackbooker for us and his win at Oakbank last start was amazing. From a tardy beginning, Opperman just helped him into a rhythm, albeit racing wide. He also let him go down the hill which meant he got to them rather early. Despite losing a plate while running on an uneven surface, Ace Attack kept running strongly through the line. Already a winner over this track and distance, while the Mooney Stable are top form.
PUISSANCE DUSOLEIL can pick-up another win here. Trialled okay at Oakbank before finishing well back behind Pindaric over 1200m at Murray Bridge. Stepped to the 1600m in town as he over raced from worse than midfield early. Forced to push three-wide and cover ground, Dom Tourneur did find the back of the winner on him. Just couldn’t quicken in the manner that Echo Boomer did on that occasion, though he did keep finding to the line. He ran a career peak when winning second-up over a similar distance back in March last year. Backed it up at his next start behind Perfect Route, and this time should appreciate coming back to provincial grade.
Race 7 - 4:00PM Sanders Fodder Class One Handicap (1100 METRES)
STRIKE THE NIGHT would seem a little under-rated as she does bring some of the A-Grade form into the race. Barrier is a bit of a sticking point though as she can begin rather sharply. Her from behind Three Tears, and then Echoes In Heaven at Murray Bridge ought to stack-up well here. So too should her win at Clare where she led throughout to score a gutsy win over Lucy Diamonds. We highlighted Lucy Diamonds as a Video Watch horse following the Saturday Review of Murray Bridge. Definitely no surprise to see her come out and win following her runner-up effort to Strike The Night. Luckily, we have the right person on top to sort that barrier draw out for her.
