Race 6 is a Highweight Handicap for the BenchMark 58 gallopers and TANGO GOLD (Best odds $6 with Sportsbet) can go close at his third run back from a spell. The Mick Price & Michael Kent-trained galloper was in need of the run at Werribee when resuming over the 1400m before producing the fastest 1000m-400m sectional at Warracknabeal over the 1800m on May 15 when just fading late behind Northern Bliss in what was a leader dominated affair at that venue. At his last campaign he was placed when getting out to the 2000m at his third run before eventually claiming his maiden later on over the 2000m at St Arnaud. He should get a nice run from barrier 6 and with the fitness in the tank he will be hard to hold out late in the piece.
DONDESKA(Best odds $5.50 with ladbrokes) might be worth a play at her first run back from a spell. The mare in the Makybe Diva colours took a bit of time to get going in her career but won two of her last four races at her last campaign with those wins coming at Stawell and Warrnambool either side of the new year. At her first run last time she got too far back when they crawled at Coleraine before finishing runner-up at Warrnambool over the 1700m, going 0.2 lengths faster than standard benchmark. Her wins came over the 1600m and 1700m later on. The 1400m might just be a fraction shy of her best but the daughter of Snitzel does have a bit of upside on some of these and should be suited by what looks to be an even tempo with the likes of The Wrangler, Cyclone Tim and The Turffinator to provide a bit of speed. She gets the 2kg claim for Tatum Bull and with even luck in running from the barrier the pair can go close here.
