Murray Bridge Tips – May 23
Race 2 12:01pm FIBERTRACK/SABOIS MAIDEN PTE (1200m)
SELLIX has been up for a long time, however as far as maiden’s go, she’s finally struck one that we can believe is down in class a little. The beauty of her in this is she can lob handy enough from the draw and we know she’s just so honest in anything she competes in. Coming back from some high ranking races behind Fortune Follows, Tubby Two Tracks and Garvoc, Sellix would appear the sensible Best Bet on the card at a price and with the claim for Anna Jordjso.
Race 5 1:51pm IORNGATE HCP (1800m)
FRANCE’S BOY nearly got the chocolates for us last time and we put him straight into the Black Book citing his ability to hold form for a number of runs while also being able to run at a high sustained speed throughout the race. Admittedly I didn’t realise the stable were about to step him out to 1800m for the first time and leave the weight on his back. Still happy to find out as he should get a nice early trail from Borris In Ossory and possibly La Belle Jude. There’s not much else behind them that have the closing speed to worry if they only go even tempo. Roselli Sting and Lieder certainly if things go their way. Really, I have this down to France’s Boy and La Belle Jude who will both be handy to the speed. At the price I think it’s time to put the Black Book to work.
Race 7 3:11pm WEDDINGS AT BRIDGES EVENT CENTRE HCP (1400m)
AWAKE IN GRINZING is another we Black Booked and now 3rd up it’s time to jump on. I’ve previously mentioned the race he and Jacobite Prince come out of from their last start rated very highly and I’m expecting these two to perform again. Speed should be good early as Awake In Grinzing looks to follow Jacobite Prince across and now we need to make the case as to why the tables can be turned. We Booked Awake In Grinzing knowing that he typically takes a couple of runs to find his best I would think he’s ready to peak at these next two starts. Jacobite Prince we don’t know where the ceiling is yet however his last three runs have been excellent without increasing his time to Benchmark. Add the extra weight the 3yo has to lump and this time with Awake In Grinzing having the cold sit on him in the run, it seems the recipe is right for an upset to be on the cards. Not sure where Done By Me gets to from the draw and surely she’s had her Grand Final? Best of the closers Aray Of Sunshine is pretty handy and will need luck from the draw.
