Race 7 - 3:06PM Australian Trainers Association Handicap (1200 METRES)
Next Best 🥈No. 10 MIDNIGHT STORM $4.20 Bet Now!
We made MIDNIGHT STORM (Best Odds Currently $4.20 with Palmerbet) one of our selections when he scored last week. We might not be getting the $10 again on the Wednesday night, he’s still one we want to stick with. He has raced well here in the past in conditions similar to what we expect here on Saturday. The rail is back in the true from the 9m, and a South-Westerly of around 20km’s is predicted. With that Soft track in mind too, we’re expecting a sweet-spot to be somewhere on pace, towards the rail. We liked Midnight Storm’s races being well-spaced, however, a horse on the back-up is ideal in these conditions.
Race 8 - 3:46PM Railway Hotel Tailem Bend Handicap (1600 METRES)
Best Value 🏆No. 1 PELOTON $10 Bet Now!
PELOTON (Best Odds Currently $10 with Ladbrokes) welcomes Jessica Eaton back into the saddle. We Black Booked Peloton following his front-running effort last start, when finishing third behind Pearl Bandit. While we expressed that he’ll be better suited out to more ground, Gifford Hill will suit the big fella. Pearl Bandit was dominant, and only finds an extra 2kg on his back – while the extra 1kg won’t bother Peloton. Eaton will just allow him to bowl along, and we’re confident he’s got the rest covered. Third-up now, staying to the mile looks a plan, and he’ll the be hardest to beat.
Race 9 - 4:25PM Weddings @ Bridges Event Centre Handicap (1200 METRES)
Best Bet 🏆No. 3 MUNSTER $4.40 Bet Now!
MUNSTER (Best Odds Currently $4.40 with Bet365) is another straight onto the back-up from last weekend. We wrote him straight into the Black Book too, as he responded to Eaton putting him on the money spot. This was second-up, and he was all-over a winner if it weren’t for the freak performance of Greetings Ned. Jacob Opperman landed his fifth for the day in roaring up the middle against the bias on that horse to score. Munster meanwhile, moved to the leader, putting paid to him and came away from the rest. The Hickmott & Eaton team still have a bit to say towards the end of this premiership race. They’ve got a few warming up into their preps, and now’s a good time for punters to be on board.
