Here are our Naracoorte tips for today:

Racing in great heart of late is the locally trained GIGGLON. As it stands, she holds a terrific record on her home track with three wins from five race starts. One of those wins came recently over this trip as she downed a classy BM72 field here. Settling near the tail, Claudia Lions brought her with one run to end up coming away from Street Life and Rhythmatic. At latest, Lions again guided her home over 1300m at Penola. This time the pair dove between runners late to charge home, and nab the close photo over Rhythmatic. Ben Price has impressed since getting his toes into the stirrups, and Sue Jaensch has rewarded him with an opportunity.

DYAGILEV shocked me last start as I really didn’t think he could run out the 2000m. I guess seeing is believing as we just watched him put paid to them over this trip at Bordertown. Dyagliev is an impressive horse who is building an imposing record and been a good one for us to follow. Not much else to add, except that he generally races well here and handles all conditions. From what we saw last start, it is hard to see how they could possibly turn the tables on him from Bordertown.

TOUGH LASSIE comes through a good metro race at Gawler where we Black Booked the winner in Indian Gazelle. She thoroughly deserved the victory second-up at Murray Bridge over this 1400m trip last time out. Tough Lassie was tasked with bringing the field up to the tearaway leader in Justedee. That she did, and although left exposed for the effort, kicked on strongly under Sophie Logan to score. She’s a nice type of filly who did all the right things well. Clearly this is now a step-up from maiden class with plenty of seasoned gallopers engaged. Still felt Tough Lassie is aptly named, and Sophie Logan will have to put her into the race early again from out there. She will give us her all to the line, and hopefully that will prove to be enough.
