Here are our Oakbank tips for today.

David Jolly late nomed SARNIA for the abandoned Naracoorte meeting set down for a week ago. Has shown enough around the provincials without really troubling the placings, I think he’s done the right thing in coming back to country class while rising in trip. Improved her last two including making late ground over 1200m behind Shojiki in town last time. Paul Gatt rides well around here and I doubt he’ll have her as far back from an ideal draw before mounting their challenge.

COFFEE AMOUR wrote her name into our Black Book following the Saturday Review a couple of runs back and on class, she should be winning. Bit of a concern with how affected the track is going to get with whatever amount of rain hits the area. Two of her soft track runs were either end of her preps then she turned in a ripper on a soft 6, narrowly beaten in a three-way go at Morphettville. No luck last start out to the 2250m when drawn poorly and I think from the low draw Anna Jordjso would have Coffee Amour just stalking the speed for much of it before going on for a deserved win.

KEYSOR, another who wrote his name into the Book following a gutsy performance first up on the Heavy at Morphettville. Wide no cover, he continued to chase hard enough to eventually put his nose in front before being swamped late. Similar performance on a good track at Balaklava second up on a day where he didn’t recover too well on pulling up. Both runs were total forgives and he’s blown out the cobwebs in a quiet trial in readiness for his return. Shown some good gate speed last time in, draws to put himself into the race while finding a nice claim for Maggie Collett.
