Race 4 - 1:56PM Melba's Chocolates Benchmark 72 Handicap (Heat 4 Sprint Series) (1100 METRES)
Best Bet 🏆No. 2 TOFF LOVE $3.20 Bet Now!
We Black booked TOFF LOVE off his second-up run this prep over 1050m in a BM82 race at Morphettville. He followed the winner, Taken Off, without really threatening and we suggested he’d be suited back to his own grade. Has had the one run since where they didn’t go as hard as we expected they would. The first three around the turn that day were the first three home in what was a deep BM78. The runner-up Mileva has since won at Listed level, while the third horse, Pariano lines-up in today’s feature sprint. Re-unites with Todd Pannell, and can give this a shake.
Race 7 - 3:56PM Harcourts Adelaide Hills Railway Stakes (1100 METRES)
Best Value 💰No. 10 SYMPHONETTE $26 Bet Now!
We landed successfully with SYMPHONETTE at her second-up run after she made our Barrier Trial Black Book. She was our Best Bet when she swooped on one rein under Kayla Crowther to land over 1200m at Morphettville. Never a factor in the Durbridge behind Behemoth and Kemalpasa, before giving Pariano a start on The Parks. We’re already following the form from Adelaide Cup Day in backing Toff Love in the fourth today. Symphonette is another who gave too much ground to the leading trio. Will get the pace on here, and the winkers may help with her issue of laying in. Interesting rider change, and is far from the worst.
Race 8 - 4:36PM Emmetts John Glatz Country Cup (BM72) (Qualified Horses)(Heat 6 Prov Series) (1900 METRES)
Next Best 🥈No. 3 FULTON STREET $6 Bet Now!
Trainer David Jolly loves a winner over the Oakbank Carnival and he’s team are all well placed. FULTON STREET is a prolific winner who is going along well enough this prep. We haven’t seen that on the score board yet, and he’s due to land. He looked all but home two back on The Parks, when Monraaj had the cushy run to nail him late. They just got it badly wrong with him last start, and that’s an apprentice thing. She’s better than that and will bounce back. Natural forward running horse, she just went too fast on him early. On the seven-day back-up, is fit and suited back to a country-class 72.
