Here are our Penola tips for today:

Race with a few chances, hard to pick where the pace is coming from though. NIMIR is very much one-paced and is coming off a short let-up. Much improved over 1700m here at latest and kept to the mark with a trial. Murphy opts to claim with Price, and his chances revolve around a positive ride. DUCK DIVE (Best Odds Currently $4.60 with Betstar) disappointed a little last start after being slow to begin. Both his previous behind She’s Stylish, and also Reynolds are promising form here. Should land in the sweet-spot for Finnegan from a perfect draw. DUGGEE’S BOY will be circling to keep some pressure on at some point, can also be a bit one-paced. LADY ADELE has the ability, if her Oakbank run is anything to go by. Her barrier skills sell her short, and we’d have to take on trust that she jumps cleanly. KEETTOM is racing as a coming winner, that could be here. His chances from the wide draw are likely to be dictated to by the tempo though.

Pace looks good in this. RHYTHMATIC has led before kicking off a good tempo to put them away this track and trip previously. Drawn nicely to push forward if he jumps, just mixing form though and can be a little slowly away at times. The Stablemate ROHLON DRUNK (Best Odds Currently $5 with Sportsbet) is low-flying at the moment, including two wins on the trot. Would think Opperman wants to push forward from his middle draw, does have OLATUNJI directly to his inside. Jeff Maund will be likely wanting to push up on her too, and she loves it here. TOUGH LASSIE is up in class and disappointed last time at Gawler. Should lob in the sweet-spot behind the pace. Only lightly raced, can improve with the shades on first-time.

LONGMIRE is probably the best horse in the race, just rarely produces it this track though. Can figure if he repeats his recent effort here behind Bossy Britches. MANHATTAN ARCH recently transferred to the Simon Gerbert yard from Lindsay Cadzow. The former Bordertown local looks hardest to beat, market should fall our way too. AIR TIME (Best Odds Currently $23 with Sportsbet) is the up-and-comer of the field. Won his maiden well at Naracoorte, then fought bravely over 1700m here last time. Shocking draw may have ruined any thoughts by Opperman of pushing forward on him. I’m not sure that MAGIC REWARD will be happy being locked away on the fence. He was dominant at Oakbank when allowed room to wind-up. Has enough ability though, and look out if Aitken can get him off and moving early enough, MISS MOSH and BUT BEAUTIFUL join those chances who are all drawn wide.
