Race 4 - 12:40PM 24th Oct - Sale Cup Two-Years-Old Maiden Plate (1206 METRES)
Best Bet 🏆No. 11 - GRANNY'S REWARD $4.20 Bet Now!
GRANNY’S REWARD ($4.20 with Sportsbet) shapes as a solid player in Race 4 of the day at Sale. The late season two-year-old made his debut at Sale on July 7 and settled in a midfield position before sticking on well for 6th. They went pretty slow early on in that race and it developed into a bit of a sit-sprint. The Peter Moody-trained galloper clocked the second fastest last 200m and it is worth noting that he produced the best last start benchmark figures of any runner in this race. The son of Reward For Effort is the only to have gone faster than standard benchmark over the last 600m of their previous run. He can improve off his debut performance and with Craig Newitt in the saddle he can get the job done.
Race 5 - 1:20PM Vale Lyndell Bence Two-Years-Old Maiden Plate (1206 METRES)
Next Best 🥈No. 3 CHARTRES $6 Bet Now!
CHARTRES ($6 with Palmerbet) might be worth a play in Race 5 of the day at Sale. The Matt Laurie-trained galloper is another that comes in with one start under the belt and was unlucky at Cranbourne when a close-up 5th behind Crystal Vain on July 8. On that occasion, he was posted out wide and without cover throughout but kept coming in the straight to finish half a length away. The son of Toronado draws the inside this time around and is well and truly in the mix with Ethan Brown to ride.
Race 7 - 2:35PM Centra Powder Coating BM64 Handicap (1415 METRES)
Best Value💰No. 17 FUZZ BUZZ $16 Bet Now!
Not sure if she gets a run as he fourth emergency but if FUZZ BUZZ ($16 with Palmerbet) can sneak in to the field in Race 7 she can go very close at thee each-way quote. The Luke Oliver-trained galloper has had the five career starts and has finished in the money in all of those. She has had two runs this preparation, finishing 3rd in both. The four-year-old last stepped out at Sandown on July 7 and ran on from the tail to finish a couple of lengths off Amfissa, going 4.3 lengths faster than standard. They are the second best figures that any horse in this race has produced in 2021. At her debut campaign she improved three lengths on figures to score at Pakenham over the 1400m when third up. With even luck from the wide gate she can feature here.
