ROCKAMO (Best Odds Currently $2.70 with Bet365) found himself back in the field during his 1200m maiden at Otaki. He clearly enjoyed the big track, moving swiftly into the race before knocking-up on his long run. Since shipped out to the Great Land Of Oz, and raced forward in his trial for return. Aleacia Bennett has taken all the gear off him (including gelding the former colt) and has again found the perfect race. We were really keen to see him run on the similar big track at Scone earlier in the week. Unfortunately the stable was forced to make alternative plans when he didn’t make the field as an emergency. Smaller field should help negate the circular track, and we’ll follow Rockamo in what looks a suitable first-up assignment.

Kerrin McEvoy can create some magic, clearly however, the gun hoop cannot control the barrier draw! We’re cursed with the wide gate again, this time with SNIPER LEGEND (Best Odds Currrently $3.20 with Bet365). Might not be such a bad thing to see the 2yo start outside of horses. There is plenty of pace inside however, and there is that danger he could be trapped deep without cover. Showed tremendous speed to lead and win over this trip at Hawkesbury, and perhaps McEvoy will bank on using that. Jason Collett chose not to kick up and cross on him, instead hitting the front into the straight at Gosford. Maybe he just had the edge off him a little while second-up and at this BM64 class for the first time. Certainly got the wobble late as Cueillir came with a wall of horses to run him down. Fitter now and better for the experience, Kerrin McEvoy can make the trip worthwhile on Snipper Legend here.

Drawn the outside of twelve horses, ANOTHERTHINKCOMIN’ (Best Odds Currently $13 with Bet365) will likely attempt to cross and lead. There is good pace in this, though wouldn’t be surprised if a few are happy to hand up and file in. Anotherthinkcomin’, a lightly raced galloper who bolted in his maiden this track and trip, is first-up today. He’s had the three trials to bring him up to the mark as, his stable like to do. That freshness of not being to the races for a while can carry him for a long way through the early part. He’s one who’ll appreciate the good ground, while there’s a few coming off Heavy tracks to run here. At the price, we’re certainly happy to play with Anotherthinkcomin’ as our Value Bet.
