See below for the horses to follow from the upcoming race meetings at Happy Valley.

Four starts back from a four-month spell have resulted in two wins for the Francis Lui-trained STOCK LEGEND who looks ideally placed here to ring up another one. Last start, the Sidestep gelding was having his first look at Class 3 company after winning his prior race at Class 4 level. Drawn out in gate nine, Karis Teetan settled him second-last some 12 lengths off the pace. In the run home, Teetan stayed inside and eventually found space, pushing the four-year-old through the gaps. Half the field hit the line together that night, seeing him finish sixth, beaten just on a length overall. He ran the last 600m, 7.7 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field. The ‘magic man (Joao Moreira) jumps back on board (after missing the last ride through suspension) who is two from three on the gelding and from an ideal draw in gate three tonight, I believe we will see a much better performance from the galloper. He has won three from six at the track and trip and looks right in the mix here.

The Tony Millard-trained SHOUSON has been in good touch of late who looks well placed here to keep the form rolling on. Last start, the Star Witness gelding was on song to go back-to-back when he lined up in a Class 3, here over 1200m. Well ridden by Matthew Poon, he gave his all in the run home and finished third, just two lengths from the winner. Tonight, he draws nicely again in gate four and should again settle just off the speed. With Poon out suspended, Antoine Hamelin returns to the saddle, still looking for his first win on the five-year-old. His personal best was posted last year when he ran out a 1200m event here 7.5 lengths quicker than benchmark which rates the best here over the past 12 months and if he can reproduce something like that tonight, he can give these a real fright at odds.

We come to the only Class 2 on the card and winning two of his past three runs, CHARITY FUN looks the best of the night. Last start, the War Command gelding bounced back from an ordinary performance the start prior to beat home a Class 3 field over 2000m at the Sha Tin track. The tempo was slow in that event but his finish was eye catching. Ridden an absolute treat by Zac Purton, he settle mid-field on the fence and enjoyed the lack of speed up front. Turning for home, Purton hooked him out wide and although conceding Pakistan Friend 7kgs in the event, he had him covered and cruised passed to record a comfortable win by more than a length. He covered his last 600m, 6 lengths quicker than benchmark which is only 1 length slower than the best here, but he did post the fastest overall sectionals for the race that day. He is stepping up to Class 2 company for the first time tonight, but drops 4.5kgs and has Purton sticking with him. He draws to do no early work in gate two and gets the gun-run here again behind the pace. Despite the class rise, he still looks the best prospect of the evening.
