Happy Valley is one of two racecourses staging feature horse racing in Hong Kong with the other being Sha Tin racecourse.

See below for the horses to follow from the upcoming race meetings at Happy Valley.

The John Size-trained LEAP OF FAITH (best odds $5.50 with Bet365) still awaits his first victory at Happy Valley but after a hat-trick of runner-up finishes at Sha Tin recently, maybe the magic of Moreira can make it happen tonight. Last start, the Sebring gelding ended up the bridesmaid for the third consecutive time as he beat all but Beluga home in a Class 3 over 1400m at Sha Tin. In being beaten less than a length, he ran the trip 5 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field. He also posted the fastest final 400m and 200m sectionals for the race. He can’t draw a gate of late but Moreira has steered him to victory twice previously and with a trouble-free run here, he just might be able to end the season on a winning note.

Unplaced just once in five starts to date, the Caspar Fownes-trained BRILLIANT FORTUNE (best odds $3.50 with Ladbrokes) draws much better tonight and shapes up as a genuine winning chance here. Last start, the Deep Field gelding never looked comfortable down the straight course at Sha Tin where the pace was a cracker and he settled just behind the leading pair. Having to cross heels to get clear, he seemed to lose his way that day but still battled on to secure third place behind the leading pair. He ran the trip, 7.1 lengths better than benchmark, ranking third-best here plus he ran his last 600m, 4.6 lengths faster than standard, the second-best in this line-up. Drawn nicely in gate four tonight, he will again appreciate a sit just behind the pace which should be a more conservative one around the 1000m on this track. Just his second look at the track, Moreira sticks with him here and should give us a bold sight tonight.

If he can overcome the wide gate here, FLAGSHIP GLORY (best odds $4.50 with Bet365) looks a real chance of turning his Happy Valley debut into a winning one tonight. Last start, English-bred galloper did well to take home third prize in a Class 2 over the mile at Sha Tin. He ran his last 600m, 5.4 lengths quicker than benchmark and set the fastest times for the final 600m and 200m sectionals for the race. Vince Ho jumps aboard for his first ride on the four-year-old and with his experience in the saddle, he just might steer him home tonight.
