Overview
Cable Rock has finished in the first three at all four of its starts in the last 90 days, winning two of them, and it heads to Belmont Park with the most reliable form on a seven-race Thursday card. It meets eight rivals in the Glenroy Chaff Hcp (C3) over 1300m, and nothing else in that race comes in with the same run of placings.
The track is rated Good to Soft. Racing starts at 1:55PM with three maidens, moves through a 1000m Class 5 sprint and a 2100m benchmark staying race, and finishes at 5:31PM with the Class 1 over 1400m, which looks like the most even race of the day. These Belmont Park racing tips cover all seven races, the riders and stables with the best records at the track, and a quaddie built from Race 4 to Race 7. No bookmaker had a market up when this was written, so there are no prices quoted below. Check the bookmakers on race morning before you bet.
Reading the Belmont Park card
There is a bit more horse form at the track than usual for a midweek meeting. Ten of today’s runners have been here three times or more, and the four at the top of the table all run in the second half of the card.

| Capable Angel | 6 | 1 | 1 | 16.7 | 16.7 |
| Declared Innocent | 6 | 0 | 1 | 0.0 | 16.7 |
The riders have plenty of Belmont history. Chris Parnham and Lucy Fiore both have more than 120 rides here and finish in the first three on more than four in ten of them. Holly Nottle has the most rides of anyone on the card, 181, for 24 winners.

| N D Parnham | 195 | 13 | 63 | 6.7 | 32.3 |
| Simon Miller | 100 | 14 | 31 | 14.0 | 31.0 |
Simon Miller has the biggest team on the day, with seven runners, and wins with one in seven of his Belmont starters. The S & J Casey stable trains Cable Rock and places with close to half its runners here, which is a better record than most of the bigger yards.

Belmont Park race by race
Race 1: Quayclean Mdn, 1:55PM, 1000m
Keppel Gate has had three starts for a third, a seventh and another third, and that is about as solid as it gets in this maiden. The 3yo drops to 54kg, gets Chris Parnham, who wins on one in six of his Belmont rides, and runs for Simon Miller. Barrier 12 is wide over 1000m, but there are only 12 runners and Parnham has the experience to find cover.
Rattle The Cage is the danger. It ran third at its only start for Mack Hall and should improve with that run under its belt, but it carries 58kg. Incredible Mr Fox has barrier 1 and a third among its three starts in the last 90 days, which makes it the place chance. Win bet on Keppel Gate, small saver on Rattle The Cage.
Race 2: Afgri Equipment Mdn, 2:31PM, 1200m
Can a horse that ran second at its only start, before a spell, beat a field of 15 maidens first-up? Talk Too Much has had just the one run, a second, and returns for Darren Taylor with Chloe Azzopardi aboard at 58kg from barrier 2. Taylor has trained two winners from 12 runners here. One start is not much to go on, but nothing else in the race has shown more.
Mr Kaplan is the one most likely to beat it. Three starts in the last 90 days haven’t produced a placing, but it gets in at 54kg, S Parnham rides, and T M Andrews has placed with more than half of his 33 Belmont runners. Capall Gasta has the most experience, with a placing from five runs in the last 90 days, and has run fifth in its last two. Psychic Storm is scratched. Talk Too Much to win, but keep the stake small first-up.
Race 3: MC Equine Surfaces Mdn, 3:11PM, 1400m
Two horses stand out on form, and it is close between them. Non Reflective has placed at both runs in the last 90 days and ran second last time, and Lucy Fiore, who wins on about one in six of her Belmont rides, takes the ride for Luke Fernie. The last start was the best of its four.
Super God has also placed at both runs in the last 90 days, a second and then a third, and C Johnston-Porter has ridden 21 Belmont winners. Barrier 1 gives Super God the easier run of the two. Maybe Maybe Maybe ran second last time and is the next best. Just Kick was well back at its last start. Raptor Not and Watto’s Warrior have no rider on the racecard. We like Non Reflective a little more. Win bet, saver on Super God.
Race 4: Reliable Asset Maintenance Hcp (C5), 3:45PM, 1000m
Niccimota keeps finishing in the first three at Belmont. It has run here four times for a win and two more placings, and three of its four runs in the last 90 days have been placings too, including a second last start. On a Good to Soft track over 1000m that consistency counts for more than anything else in this race. It is top weight at 58kg and Sharni Webster rides for J P Taylor.
Raw Umber is the danger. It has won two of three starts in the last 90 days, and one of its two Belmont runs was a win, but it finished ninth last time. It is the 3yo in the race and gets in at 55.5kg with Chris Parnham riding. King’s Drama has a win and another placing from four runs here for C & M Gangemi. Niccimota is the best multi leg on the card. Win bet.
Race 5: Liquor Barons (Bm54+), 4:21PM, 2100m
Consolidated is scratched, and that takes out a horse with two wins from six runs in the last 90 days. What’s left is a staying race where nobody has strong form, so the question is which horse handles 2100m best.
Capable Angel shares the most Belmont runs in the race, six, for one win, and has a win and another placing from six starts in the last 90 days. Lucy Fiore rides for Brandon Fiore at 56.5kg. Queen Nardi is the one we want to be with each-way. It has placed at both runs in the last 90 days, ran third last time, and carries a kilo less with Natasha Faithfull aboard for D R Pateman. With nine starters and nobody in strong form, a horse that keeps placing is worth backing for a place. Capable Angel for the win, Queen Nardi each-way.
Race 6: Glenroy Chaff Hcp (C3), 4:57PM, 1300m
Cable Rock is the best bet of the day. The last six starts read 0, 2, 1, 1, 2, 3, and the 90-day record is two wins and two more placings from four runs, worth $47,560. It has been to Belmont six times for a win and three placings, and Holly Watson rides for the S & J Casey stable.
The concern is the weight. Cable Rock carries 59kg, and that is where the danger comes in. Von Rommel won its only start and gets in a little lighter, with Lucy Fiore aboard for Robert Gulberti. One run is not much to go on, but a win first time out is worth respecting. I’m Odette won at its only Belmont start, but finished well back last time. Forgotten Son carries 60kg after a fourth at its one run in the last 90 days.
With only nine runners, Cable Rock should get a clear run. Win bet, and the anchor leg of the quaddie.
Race 7: Morley Growers Market Hcp (C1), 5:31PM, 1400m
Tex ‘N’ Cee and Encroaching are both last-start winners, but their form is different. Tex ‘N’ Cee has run second, second and second and then won, which makes four placings from four runs in the last 90 days. Its only run at Belmont was a win. S Parnham rides for N D Parnham at 59kg.
Encroaching won last time too, and has won one of its two Belmont starts, but its form before that was a sixth and a sixth. Lucy Fiore rides from barrier 1, also at 59kg. Properata has placed in all four runs in the last 90 days without winning, and Holly Nottle rides for D & B Pearce at 58.5kg. That makes it a place chance more than a winner. Duchess Of Dance won its only start for Simon Miller and gets in at 57kg. Fugaku is scratched.
We would rather have Tex ‘N’ Cee‘s four placings than Encroaching‘s one win. Back Tex ‘N’ Cee to win, and box it with Encroaching and Properata in the trifecta.

Where the money goes
NAP: Cable Rock (Race 6, 4:57PM). Placed at all four starts in the last 90 days, won two of them, and has six runs at Belmont. The 59kg is the only concern.
Value: Tex ‘N’ Cee (Race 7, 5:31PM). Encroaching has the inside draw and a Belmont win, but Tex ‘N’ Cee has the more consistent form, four placings from four, including a win at its only Belmont start.
Banker: Niccimota (Race 4, 3:45PM). Placed three times from four Belmont runs and three of its last four starts. Of the multi legs on the card, this one has the most consistent form.
Each-way: Queen Nardi (Race 5, 4:21PM). Placed at both starts in the last 90 days, a kilo lighter than Capable Angel, in a 2100m race where nobody is in strong form.
Course angle: Lucy Fiore has five rides on the card: Auzzie Rain, Non Reflective, Capable Angel, Von Rommel and Encroaching. She has won 21 races from 136 rides here and placed on 56, and three of her five rides today are on horses we fancy.
Quaddie (Races 4 to 7): Niccimota and Raw Umber, Capable Angel and Queen Nardi, Cable Rock alone, then Tex ‘N’ Cee, Encroaching and Properata in the last.
If S & J Casey keep placing with close to half their Belmont runners, their runners here will be worth following at every meeting.
