The locally-trained QUICK AS A FLASH is now four starts into this campaign and back on home soil today, looks well placed to give this contest a real shake. Last start, the Pride Of Dubai mare settled mid-field and failed to run on in a BM58 over 1300m at Moree. Mikayla Weir was aboard that day and sticks with her for this assignment. She is already a winner at the track and has a win over the 1300m on her resume as well. Ideally drawn in gate three today, she maps to be box-seating on settling and should have every chance to bounce back here and pick up her fourth career-win.

Race 4:  No.2  AGNODICE

The Cody Morgan-trained AGNODICE has found her mojo this time in and looks well placed here to go on with it today. Last start, the Street Boss mare came off a hat-trick of unplaced runs when she turned it all around by taking out a BM58 over 1300m at Moree with Cobi Vitler in the saddle. She came from mid-field early to gather the front runners in and beat home the 14-strong field by more than two lengths in the end. She steps up in grade today but has the fitness and the runs on the board to be a major competitor in this contest. The stable fit the tongue tie for the first time as she is drawn to do no early work from gate four. Vitler sticks with her here and a trouble-free run should see her there at the finish today.

Race 7:  No.6  MILLINGIMBI  

Brett Cavanough saddles-up MILLINGIMBI here who is first-up off a lengthy 31-week break today and is capable of a podium finish in this contest. The Stratum Star mare ended her last campaign finishing fourth in a Class 3 Hcp over 1220m at Lismore. She was held up turning for home but still hit the line well enough to be beaten less than two lengths on the line. Luke Rolls is the new pilot today and from gate seven, the five-year-old maps to settle in the first half-dozen. The stable have removed the nose roll here and while on fresh legs, a clear run to the line can see her pressing for victory today.
